Our Premises

John Smith’s English Language Centre’s premises represent a new class of dynamic educational environment. With state-of-the-art technology, elegant furnishing and vibrant but minimalist color design, the stylish finish throughout reflects our forward-looking mission: to offer courses designed to meet the demands of students preparing for the new social and economic landscapes of the 21st century.

Our Language Centre premises include Wi-fi throughout the building, 10-station internet cafe, mini-library, chill-out and lounge areas with coffee, cold-drink and snack vending machines, and a large terrace where students can relax and enjoy their break.

Our Methodology

At John Smith’s English Language Centre, we offer you the opportunity to achieve your personal and professional language-learning goals. We are passionate about the effectiveness of our teaching methodology, which is based on a combination of tried and tested, as well as innovative and dynamic, academic approaches, carried out in a modern, fun and welcoming environment.

The teachers of our courses work closely with students and, thanks to the small number of students per classroom, are able to continually assess the students' progress and offer personalized attention to each student. When it comes to teaching, we hold ourselves to a high standard. From the very first lesson, English is the only language spoken in our lively, interactive sessions, where enthusiasm and positivity is paired with a commitment to a rigorous and precise teaching methodology which encourages hard work and dedication from all students and aim to always give our students life-long confidence in their English language skills.

Our Location

John Smith’s English Language Centre is located in the heart of New Delhi at CP, right at the center of New Delhi’s premier business and tourist district. New Delhi is the back office of the world and you will meet and interact with people from all over the world. A truly cosmopolitan city which was initially a modest landscape, the area later transformed into the back office of the world from simple appointment setting centers to complex engineering design labs; all with their branches or subsidiaries in the bustling modern city of New Delhi.

Our location is ideal for those looking for nightlife entertainment, clubs, bars, restaurants, cafes and cinemas are just around the corner. New Delhi, which has undergone major improvements and development since the 2000s, is now one of India’s premier and most popular business and education districts. New Delhi hosts most of New Delhi NCR’s 3- and 4-star hotels, apartment complexes for tourists, English language schools and other educational centers.

Activity & Leisure Team

With the help of our activity and leisure team, you'll discover all the leisure, city and cultural activities New Delhi and its suburbs; Gurgaon and Noida have to offer every kind of visitor. We want to help you get the most out of the opportunities and unique experiences presented by Gurgaon and New Delhi NCR’s churches and temples, museums and traditional villages and hamlets, scenery and hills and clubs and parties.

A typical weekly program might include visits to the Taj Mahal and Rishikesh, a beach trip and boat party in summer, in Goa, or a jeep tour or walk through New Delhi NCR’s incredible countryside in winter. Evening plans such as the theatre, traditional village Melas (festivals/fairs), a meal of typical Indian cuisine, (there isn't anything typical for there are many Indian dishes due to its diversity) or a visit to a popular nightclub are just some of the activities on the cards.

At John Smith’s English Language Centre, the leisure team organizes a new range of excursions, trips and parties for our students every week, so you get to experience all the great leisure activities New Delhi and the NCR has to offer. With John Smith’s English Language Centre, sightseeing or going to parties in New Delhi or the NCR is not just great fun, it's also an integral part of learning English, allowing you to put your new skills to use. Our staff help students to integrate with each other, making lifelong connections and friendships and practicing English with friends.

Additionally, regular outdoor activities such as golf, tennis and horse riding and the plenty of indoor options such as pampering oneself at a deluxe spa, working out at the local gym, catching the latest blockbuster release at the cinema, or challenging friends to an evening of bowling, billiards/snooker, paintball or ice-skating.

Courses for Adults

At John Smith’s English Language Centre, we offer English courses for adults looking to achieve their personal or professional language-learning goals. The teaching methodology is based on tried and tested, professional and dynamic academic approaches, carried out in a modern, fun and welcoming atmosphere. The teachers of our adult courses work closely with students and, thanks to the small number of students per classroom, we are able to continually evaluate each student's development. We take great care to make sure that our demanding teaching methodology offers maximum personalized attention to each and every student.

Courses for Juniors

John Smith’s English courses for juniors are designed to offer expert, modern English language learning prospects to young students in quest of having fun while learning English in India. Our courses for juniors give young learners the opportunity to improve their language skills through engaging, hi-tech, interactive lessons especially designed by John Smith’s English Language Centre, while also participating in a full leisure program of sports, cultural visits and many other fun activities.

Courses for Family & Kids

Our parents and children program, or family program, has been exclusively designed for parents who would like to study English while also having their children on a Kids English Program at the same time and within the same Language Centre building. The course combines 20 lessons of English per week, which also include an optional afternoon and evening program of leisure and cultural activities.

Courses for Groups

Our General English closed groups offer learning opportunities for groups of students looking to improve their language skills, either in General English or in a specialized subject area. We combine classroom lessons with an immersive cultural experience by organizing different activities and excursions around Gurgaon city, allowing students to practice their English and boost their confidence in the language through real-life situation and adventures shared together.

Accommodation

Flats/Apartments - Full board Twin Sharing:

With John Smith’s English Language Centre, you get an apartment on twin sharing basis and it is a full board arrangement; and the flats/apartments are in gated communities which are within easy travel distance of the Language Centre.

This type of accommodation is ideal for students (adult/junior/groups) who would like to share the learning and living experience with other international students, make new friends, and be immersed in the language-learning opportunities both at the Language Centre and out.

 All John Smith’s English Language Centre apartments are fully-furnished and include living/ kitchen/ dining area, TV, free Wi-Fi (in living area), fans (in summer), heaters (in winter), bed linen and towels.

*toiletries are not supplied by the Language Centre.

Hotels & Villas

If you prefer, you can stay in one of the hotels or villas in New Delhi or the Suburbs (Noida or Gurgaon). All the satellite towns are highly connected with the CBD of New Delhi via road and he metro link. However, you would have to contact us for us to make separate arrangements for you for this option.
